composter won't accept furnace cooked items

when i tried to put my baked potatoes and dried kelp on the composter, it didn't accept them. i thought that maybe cooked items doesn't get accepted by the composter. but i looked at the minecraft wiki and it says that composters in fact accept cooked items. then i tried it in creative mode. i tried putting cooked items that are from the creative inventory, and it worked! so i concluded that if the item was cooked manually not from the creative inventory. the composter wont accept it.

mojang please fix this.
