Overworld does not fully load when coming through Nether portal

Numerous times while in a specific Realm, myself and others have noticed that returning to the Overworld from a Nether portal often results in large swaths of chunks not loading. Blocks can be interacted with, but are invisible. The only way to rectify thus far is to restore a world backup, which is not always possible when the Realm owner is away and often results in lost data.
