Game just froze and Xbox stopped turning on

In Minecraft, I was in a world minding my own business when my game started working really weird. I couldn't place any blocks and when i broke blocks it would not make a noise. Then my friend left the game, and the whole xbox froze. I turned it off and then turned it on but it said no signal. The game was split screen by the way. I don't know what happened?
