Blocks Not Stacking Properly

I am currently playing minecraft and just obtained a silktouch pickaxe and ahve noticed that stone obtanied through a silk touch pickaxe dose not stack with stone obtanied through smelting cobblestone after this I tried diffrent thing and found that diamons, emeralds, and coal have the same effects although this not a huge issue it does mess up storage.
