Failed to login - can't connect to microsoft account.

I have tried getting help through Microsoft, but they turned me to Mojang. When I try to sign in it says: "Failed to login: we tried to sign you into your Microsoft account, but something went wrong." can anything be done to fix this, it has been going on since I bought the game yesterday.

I have tried rebooting the app, which seemed like the solution for other people who had similar problems, but this did not work.
