Achievement popping but no notification

I got a couple of achievements, but there was no notification (notifications are turned on in the Xbox settings).

The achievements were: Dry Spell and The Deep End.

I checked and the achievements have popped, just no notification.

My friend got the same achievements, and he DID get the notifications.
