Minecraft Crashes on iPad when Launching Toy Story World

Minecraft loads, but when we try to enter recently purchased Toy Story world, a loading bar appears as normal but then app crashes and closes when loading bar reaches or nears 100%.

This problem existed before updating iOS and app, and updating both to latest version did not fix the issue.  Had no impact.

”Offloaded” app and re-installed it, also did not fix it.

Toy Story world worked fine for two weeks.

iPad hardware is 5th generation.
