Trident disappears when thrown at a bell

Steps to reproduce:

1. Place a bell.
2. Aim & throw a trident at the bell.

Expected results:

The trident is dropped as an entity once it hits the bell.

Observed results:

The trident disappears.

Original:

I got Curious, threw a trident at a bell because I heard you can shoot bells with arrows, so why not a big fork? To my surprise it worked! But when it hit the bell, the trident disappeared, or got destroyed. And i wasn't so happy about that. I hope you guys take a look into this problem, because I would very much like to throw big forks at bells with out consequences.
