game_difficulty default

I deleted my username in MC (changed it to nothing) and like I expected, there was no name above my head. But when I disconnected of Internet issues and joined again, but I joined with the name game_difficulty and default settings (difficulty: normal, no split controls, etc.) but the d-pad size was at the largest. I don't know if this was intended, but it seemed like a bug.
