Game crash when approaching Stronghold/End Portal in the overworld

I was exploring the End and fell into the void and died.  After changing to my second xbox and gearing up again with the intention of re-entering the End.  I cannot get within 150 blocks of my Stronghold/End Portal in the overworld before the game crashes.
