Pressure Plate sometimes doesn't trigger, or becomes stuck "on"

sometimes when I step over a pressure Plate it doesn't work. it won't operate. The only what to fix this is remove one of the pressure plates and then replace it. Sometimes pressure plate stay completely pressed and the only what to fix it is remove it and then replace it.
