Game crashed after connecting to server

I was flying high with my elytra, exploring new chunks, when my server connection broke down. But despite the server being online, I have not been able to completely relog onto that specific server, without the game crashing immediately after joining the server. I'm able to see a short glimpse of the sky being rendered before the game crashes.
