Constant freezing

Since the latest update for Minecraft Nintendo switch, my game has been regularly freezing and pausing for a while. It is difficult to play the game especially on servers when I am connecting to other players and competing on games. The game freezes and when it unfreezes after about 20 seconds I have either been eliminated from the game or disconnected from the server altogether. My internet is fine and I have no problems on other games, I am only finding freezes and lagging on Minecraft especially when connecting on multiplayer worlds. I really hope this can be fixed so I can enjoy the full experience of the Minecraft update.
