Chicken go through fence when re- logging in

When I log in, I find at least 1 of the 4, 6 originally, chickens that I have managed to somehow get out of the fence. I put another ring of fences around the original and it keeps them from escaping into the world. Please fix and ask me any questions if you need to understand more.
