Lag problem

Hey there,

Minecraft is one of the best games ever made. I've been playing for 9 years now, and still haven't gotten bored. I've never come on here to issue a problem in the game, but it's really annoying. 

I play on my iPad minecraft pocket edition. Whenever I click the home button and leave and re-enter the game get extremely laggy and it crashes my game. When I used to play I would leave the game and re-enter and the game would just be on pause and it would be working fine.
