Game Freezing Completely When I open Chests/Containers

I have not played Minecraft in months, so some friends and I decided to play again. So, I started a new map about a week ago and invited my friends to play. We have played on it daily since, sometimes with me playing alone and sometimes they join me. We have made quite a bit of progress on the map with no issues besides the occasional lag.

However, today, I loaded up my game to play alone and walked up to one of my chests and opened its inventory. When it opened, within about 1 to 1 1/2 seconds later, the game froze and bricked my Xbox. I had to hard reset my Xbox to fix it. So, I turned it back on and started to play again.

Well, I tried opening the chest again right when I loaded back in and I was able to use it just fine. But I left to go mining and came back maybe 20 minutes to put some loot into my chests and again my game froze when I opened one. This time it didnt brick my Xbox, so I managed to quit to dashboard. This is very annoying and frustrating,  as well as making the game very tedious to play as almost every other time I open a chest, my game freezes,
