Freezing, Crashing, & Inability to connect to other friends on Switch

Since the 1.14 Village & Pillage update was released for Nintendo Switch, I have been unable to connect to anyone else playing Minecraft on the Switch platform. Realms and the servers provided also crash constantly and quickly after joining a server, rendering me and others completely unable to play multiplayer. The Switch Version also has issues with timeouts, consistent and game-ruining freezing, making the experience overall unenjoyable, and nearly unplayable.
