Missing Textures In Chunks

When playing in any game mode, some or all sides of the blocks within a certain area will either go gray or green. I am not sure if these are separate glitches or if they coincide but they certainly make the game unplayable. What if you’re mining, and you pass diamonds without knowing it! It’s a bit frustrating. It happens on all my worlds. The gray texture seems to be more common than the green.
