Hotbar is gone

Whenever I enter Minecraft, and want to play, you know, a game or two, my hotbar is gone. I can't get it back, I tried looking in settings, nothings working. It makes it near impossible to play survival games, and build anything! It bothers me so much and was hoping if you know what to do
