Type selector is broken (vindicator)

While using the command /replaceitem, more specifically, "/replaceitem entity @e[type=vindicator]slot.armor.head 0 coal_ore", the command output says no target is found, even while I see multiple vindicators, and spawn many. May be a problem related to raid variants of vindicators taking priority over spawned ones. (edit: command only fails if on the edge of a tickingarea)
