Cannot Unlock Lion Tamer Achievement

After gaining the trust of an ocelot (hearts were shown and the mob didn't run away) I did not receive the "Lion Tamer" achievement. I tried this again and still nothing happened. Maybe this is an oversight resulting from the split between ocelots and cats?
