Game freezes every couple of seconds

Ever since the last few major updates, (So the updates that added stuff from Village and Pillage.) me and my friend have been experiencing these game freezes that can last between 5 to 10 seconds, and they happen quite frequently too, like nearly every 30 seconds, but sometimes I can play the game and it hardly does the game freeze at all for an hour long session. This also seems to happen every where else in the software too, so the main menu and pause menus as well. The game has become nearly impossible to play because of this. We’ve both own a Nintendo Switch and a copy of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition with the latest system update and game version updates. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
