Villagers and animals despawn

I’ve been noticing that much villagers and animals dissapeared. The last couple of days I’ve spent a lot of time in my village building stuff but I recently noticed that almost all of my villagers are gone and when the last ones try to breed it just doesn’t work and btw I have a lot of beds, workstations and bells but they still dissapear and my animals like pigs cows sheeps and chickens are disappearing too even though they Are on a fence and also i was playing on peaceful mode while working on the village
