Hoed farmland acts unirrigated

i tend to farm in a 9x9 block with a single water block in the middle. But since i last played. (before the village update) the diagonals from the central water block act as if they are not irrigated and the seeds pop back up and the crop disappears. the effected blocks are as follows. 

(1 being unaffected crops, 0 being crops affected by the bug, w being water)
