Nether portals which were linked are now unlinked after update

about a week ago I created a portal to the nether and have been using it to go back and forth from the nether. my game updated yesterday and when I loaded the game in the nether and tried to go back to the over world it spawned me about 100 blocks away from my original portal. I have broken each portal and re-lit it with o luck.
