Shield texture invisible when in off-hand and in main hand

It appears in the inventory,but when i quit it,i i looks like i have not equipped it ( resuming,its invisible to other players and to me,if i dont check my inventory.the shield a still works though.).the same happens when the shield is equipped in the main hand.
