Performance issues

Using an ASUS ZenFone 2

I've recently restarted playing the game and decided to create a brand new world to see what new features had been added.
However while playing I noticed strange behaviour from the game, namely:
● Mobs movement is laggy (move, freeze, move and so on);
● Placed and broken blocks have a delay before any sound is played, block is dropped and/or particles are shown;
● Picking up blocks takes 3-4 seconds almost every time;
● Pressure plates sometimes do not activate our they release after many seconds;
● Cooking something in a furnace takes longer than it should;
● Fall damage has a delay;
● Lava flows extremely slowly (about 1 block every 10 or so seconds);
● Farmland never decays, not even when water is removed;
● Day cycle is slowed;

I suppose these bugs were introduced in the last versions of the game, as I never noticed them while playing in version 1.8.0.
