Ender Dragon bug

I've been using creative mode, I broke the standing bedrock pillar at the center of the ender islandwhich the ender dragon will stay on as well as the blocks below them, and I saw the dragon would not go down near to the ground any more. Instead it kept raising itself slowly, higher and higher. I know it is creative mode so killing the dragon will not get anything useful but I think this is a bug.
