Minecraft xbox cannot create world template worlds

I have switched from nintendo switch to xbox one recently because I was having issues with nintendo switch. when I downloaded the marketplace packs I owned it seemed to be fine, but when I  tried to create a world it went to the initiating world template option for around one second and then went straight back to the previous screen. help would be appreciated, thank you!
