Potion Effects not Infinite

So I was building a house on the new 1.11 beta on my Xbox when I got inside to build. It was dark inside, so I used

/effect @s night_vision 99999 0

to give myself infinite night vision, but when I checked my effects menu, I saw it only gave me exactly 1666:38.

 

I'm unsure why this is happening.
