Going blind underwater?

So I went underwater the day before I wrote this issue and everything was fine but then, today I went underwater and my character (Steve) went blind when I went underwater and also my character model armor turned pitch black, I think this is because of my character not going blind when gravel falls on my head, so I think the Devs mixed them up and it turned out weird, If Jeb or one of the MOJANG staff members reads this and fixes said bug, I will be VERY happy
