Armour slots not saving in multiplayer

I was playing multiplayer over Wi-Fi, I disconnect and re-connected, all my items were saved with the exception of my armour slots ( I was in FULL DIAMOND ARMOUR if that helps) this was really annoying, losing 24 diamonds!!!!
