Walk through walls in survival, iron golems still mad

when I staircase down the walls become transparent and I can walk through them but not back. I suffocate in the block. It is any block stone, granite, etc. my iron golem keeps attacking me even though I have not hit a villager. It killed me and should be fine but it keeps killing me. This is in a world I created before the Pillager update came out. If I create a new world it does the same thing. I am playing on Xbox one s, v1.11.0.7 there are major lag spikes out of no where. I really like the update and want to play but cannot because of these issues.
