Ender Pearl glitch

When throwing and Ender Pearl, if you're too close to the block to which you're throwing at you can find yourself within a block. Wall glitch. You can break the block you're in or sometimes back out. If you're in adventure mode and stuck in a block a change in game mode or restart is required. Could someone check in on this? Thanks. Love the game!
