Lingering Particle Effect

I am playing Minecraft Beta for Xbox One v1.11.0.5

 

i was hit by an illager and I was afflicted by an effect. The effect has since worn off, but several days later in game, the particle effect remains. I exited and entered the game again, but to no avail.
