Update on this issue by [Mojang] Mega_Spud (Jay Wells):
This is because experimental features may not be 100% functional on Realms - we have a fix lined up for a future update though. We can leave this ticket open as a point of reference until it is fully resolved for all players though.
Villagers/Wandering Traders float and fly when hit on realms
