Desert Temples sometimes are missing chests

I was playing in a survival world, came across a Desert Temple. I checked for treasure, but no chests were there. I tested again in a second world with the same seed, checked the Temple, the chests were there with loot inside. This disappointed me because I couldn't get the loot for my survival. Please fix this.
