Can't get "Superfuel" Achievement on XBOX ONE

I wanted to get this achievement, so I took 5+ buckets of lava from a cave and brought it to my base. I put them in my furnaces and smelted kelp with them. I was surprised that doing this 5 times didn't give me the achievement.
