App keeps crashing every time I try to open or create a world

Currently, I am running Minecraft PE on an iPad pro (the one similar to an air 2) and every time I try to open a world or create a new one, the app immediately crashes. It has been crashing since I was running the app on an iPad air. I haven't wanted to delete the app because I don't want to lose my worlds (and I'm not quite sure how that could be circumvented). I am signed into my microsoft account on there as well.
