Bug with experience bottles

When I gave experience bottle from the creative menu, and then I clicked the bottle again in my slot bar and it was selected. I forgot to deselect the experience bottle and when I closed the inventory menu the experience bottle was not there. I can't found it on the blocks in the world. This was on singleplayer mode without other players.
