When resuming the game, you can occasionally hold a different item than what your hotbar says

I honestly don't know how to do this, I just resumed MC and my hotbar said I was holding emerald, while glass was in my hand. The image may look photoshopped but it happened. Although very minor, you can get rid of it by choosing a new item in the hotbar
