Can no longer craft smooth stone or smooth sandstone in furnace.

When I try to create smooth stone in the furnace it doesn't do anything. Before this version I could create smooth stone by smelting in the furnace. I also cannot create smooth sandstone in the furnace. I need smooth stone to create grindstone or the blast furnace.
