fire wont burn fences when you use flint and steel

What I expected to happen was...:
When I light fences on fire I expected them to burn

What actually happened was...:
When I hit fences with fire it will light up and disappear (fire animation never happens)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get fence
2. ...try and light it on fire
3. ...it wont light on fire
