unable to connect to world

Minecraft crossplay switch and PC windows 10. after latest update the switch is unable to connect to any world (including new 1.9 worlds) made on the windows 10 minecraft. No issues if the switch is hosting the worlds (pc connects perfectly). 

Any ideas ?

I've tried closing down and restarting both, still no joy.
