hotbar/inventory not loading item images

This happens in both creative and survival. Ive tried altering my settings in both my computer and the game, nothings worked. The only time i see them items are when they are in my hand. the names of the items do appear when the cursor is moved over them. I have java on the same computer and this doesnt happen on there
