Whenever i join a world my hotbar disappears and I can't use it

Whenever i join a world/realm ijoin and then afew seconds later my inventory and hotbar disappear. I've restarted minecraft , forced it to stop, restarted my tablet and signed out of xbox and back in nothing works.
