Cant get to endcity by portal

When I throw enderpearl to endcity portal  i get stucked in block above it, i tryed it on multiple worlds and it happens every time, even when i destroy the bedrock in creative and  fly to the portal it makes sound like it is teleporting me but it doesnt. I can fly to the endcity and normaly use portals there to get back but not the one on main island.
