Lighting glitches

Lighting glitches occur in dark areas after I move to an area outside my current render distance.

to recreate the issue,

1. I start up my world and no glitches occur within the current render distance
2. i go anywhere in the world outside of the area where I initially spawned
3. black shadows appear in large amounts even in areas where there are torches
4. one way to get rid of them is to go into the nether and then leave
5. after that all of the glitches go away until you leave the area and then return.
