Character auto dies when choosing world with touchscreen control

I've noticed when choosing my world from the list by touching the screen sometimes kills me when loaded in. It doesn't happen ALL the time but I managed to get in on camera. Also, it sometimes kills me in an area close to my original spawn point. NOT the area of where I last left the game in.
