Minecraft not compatible with Samsung galaxy note 8010

i already have minecraft installed on my SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 8010 and now will not update the game. As I play the game with my partner and my daughter, I am now un able to play the game at all on my galaxy note 8010. Why hasn't it been updated???????????? This is so frustrating. I can't even reinstall the game, it says NOT COMPATIBLE with my device( Samsung galaxy note 8010). Why is it saying it's not compatible when I have it installed and played this game for a couple of years? Minecraft version is now on 1.8.0 on iOS. I can't even find this minecraft on the Google play store, so I can't tell you which version is on my galaxy note 8010. If this carries on I won’t be able to play Minecraft at all on any device I have.
